What we collect, and what we don’t
A plain-language explanation of the data collected when you use MoneyBert.
The short version
We use standard analytics and advertising tools that most websites use, which involve cookies and similar technologies. We don’t sell your personal information. Our calculators run entirely in your browser — the numbers you type into them aren’t sent to or stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, MoneyBert automatically collects some technical information when you visit — your approximate location (city/region level, not precise), browser and device type, pages visited, and how you interact with the site. This comes through the following services:
Google Analytics
Tracks site traffic and usage patterns using cookies. Google’s privacy policy governs how this data is handled: policies.google.com/privacy
Microsoft Clarity
Records anonymized session and interaction data (like scroll and click behavior) to help us understand how the site is used. Microsoft’s privacy policy applies: privacy.microsoft.com
Google AdSense
Displays advertising and may use cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing activity, both on this site and elsewhere. You can review and adjust your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com
Our Pinterest save/share button may set cookies if you interact with it. Pinterest’s privacy policy applies: policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them (directly and through the services above) to remember preferences, understand site usage, and serve relevant advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings — doing so may affect how some parts of the site function.
Information you provide directly
If you use our contact form, we collect whatever information you submit (typically your name, email address, and message) solely to respond to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list or share this information with third parties without your consent.
Children’s privacy
MoneyBert is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Your choices
- Adjust cookie preferences through your browser settings
- Opt out of personalized Google advertising at adssettings.google.com
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
If you’re located in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA regarding your personal data, including the right to request what’s collected about you or to request deletion. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make such a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the tools we use change. We’ll update the date below when we do. Continued use of MoneyBert after changes means you accept the updated policy.
